Joined in marriage
Connie J. Schmitz and Thomas F. Ricotta exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 24, 2005 at St. Mary of Immaculate Conception Church in New Oregon. A reception followed at the Lake Erie Italian Club.
The bride, daughter of David and Joyce Schmitz of North Collins, is a 1993 graduate of North Collins High School and a 1997 graduate of Daemen College. She is currently employed as a tax manager at the accounting firm of Lumsden & McCormick, LLP.
The groom, son of Francis and Patricia Ricotta of North Collins, is a 1990 graduate of North Collins High School and a 1994 graduate of Fredonia State College. He is currently employed as a radiological control technician at West Valley Nuclear Services Co.
Suzanne Schmitz, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathy Kehr, cousin of the bride, and Christine Eick, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Kaitlyn Schmitz, niece of the bride.
Scott Bacon, friend of the groom, was the best man. The groomsmen were Keith Ayers and Rick Williams, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Brett Schmitz, nephew of the bride.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and now reside in Boston.
