On July 2, 2005, Jamie V. Oger and Vernon L. Sumter were united in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gowanda with the Rev. Travis S. Grubbs officiating.

     The bride is the daughter of Mary Ann Oger of Collins and the late John E. Oger. The groom is the son of Mary Ann Sumter of Fredonia.

     The bride was escorted to the altar by Nathaniel Sumter, son of the groom.

     Matron of honor was Melinda Spire of Gowanda. Bridesmaids were Amy (Sternisha) Gonzalez, Amme Gens, Amy Abbey, Kimberly Burr and JoAnn Nixon, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Kaitlyn Oger, niece of the bride.

     Best man for the groom was Darren Moreland. Groomsmen were Eric Moreland, John Escobar, Jayson Majka, Manny Escobar and Earl Smith. Junior groomsman was Nathaniel Sumter.

     Jamie, Vernon and Nathan Sumter reside in Charlotte, NC, where the bride is a kindergarten teacher and the groom works as a childcare therapist.
