Sara Della Posta and Michael Kuennen were united in marriage on Aug. 29, 2004 at St. Lawrence Chapel in Alpine, New York.
The bride is the daughter of Frank and Kathleen Della Posta of Gowanda. The groom is the son of Adrian and Ellen Kuennen of Iowa City, Iowa.
Serving as the maid of honor was Aimee Tschopp of Jackson Heights, New York. Natalie Della Posta, niece of the bride, served as a junior bridesmaid. The flower girl was Angelina Davis, daughter of Steve and Mary Davis of West Hartford, Connecticut.
David Romano of New York City served as best man. Nephew of the bride, Ethan Della Posta, acted as ring bearer. Ushers were nephews of the bride, Greg, Tyler, Daniel and Maxim Della Posta. Also participating was Kristen Della Posta, niece of the bride, acting as greeter.
The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Stanley Sears of Ithaca, with the bride’s sister, Lisa Della Posta and brothers, Mark Della Posta and Joseph Della Posta, acting as readers. The musicians were harpsichordist David Baranowski and flutist Barry Crawford, both of New York City, close friends of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the beautiful Fountainbleau Inn on Cayuta Lake.
The couple resides in Manhattan, where they both work as freelance musicians.
