Couple celebrates fall nuptials

On Oct. 26, 2003, Christa J. Gabel, daughter of William and Patricia Gabel of Lawtons, and Paul E. Kehr, son of Joseph and Julie Kehr of Collins and Susan and Leonard Quinn of Gowanda, were united in marriage at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eden.

The bride wore her mother’s wedding dress, which was altered by Betty Gabel, aunt of the bride. Over 3,000 hand-sewn beads adorned the gown.

Serving as attendants were Jennifer Kehr, sister of the groom; Michele Harris, high school friend; Meghan McLean, college friend; Karen Kehr, sister-in-law; and Courtney Newton, future sister-in-law. Flower girls were Serena Gabel, the bride’s niece, and Haley Kehr, the groom’s niece. The bride’s Godson, Peter J. Gabel, was ring bearer.

Joseph Kehr served as best man for his brother. Ushers were Robert Kehr, brother of the groom; and Mark, Darrin and Kyle Gabel, the bride’s brothers.

An evening reception was held at St. Martin’s Church Hall in Langford.

Following a South Caribbean cruise, the newlyweds reside in their new home in Lawtons.
