Couple wed in late-summer ceremonyKaren Learn of Cattaraugus and Brett John Skeels of Little Valley were united in marriage on Aug. 16, 2003 at Napoli United Methodist Church. Pastor Mike Trenchard officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Sandra and Gorden Green of Cattaraugus. The groom is the son of Dale Skeels and Roberta Skeels, both of Little Valley. The bride wore an ivory gown with pearl embellishments and off-the-shoulder sleeves. Tracy Pillard, sister of the bride, of Conewango Valley, was matron of honor. Tammy Eggleston, sister of the bride, of Lexington, NC, was bridesmaid. Junior bridesmaid was Bridgett Learn, daughter of the bride. Best man for the groom was Ray Wright, friend of the groom, from Randolph. Usher was Adam Skeels, brother of the groom. Flower girls were Jessica and Cassy Pillard of Conewango Valley and Chantel Learn, daughter of the bride. Ring bearer was Kodie Skeels, son of the groom. The bride attended Cattaraugus Central School and works for Western New York DDSO as a direct-care aide. The groom is a Little Valley Central graduate and works for NYSEG as a first-class lineman. A family vacation was taken with their children to Myrtle Beach and North Carolina following the reception at Little Valley American Legion.
