Early in 2004 the Gowanda PennySaver/News began using short bits of historical facts about the Gowanda area as fillers. Each one is only a sentence or two long and they currently appear scattered throughout the pages of each edition of the paper.
     I have found them to be quite interesting remembrances. Finding a way to preserve these snapshots of Gowanda's history here on this website has been a goal of mine since they began to appear in the paper.
     This section has been set aside to archive these historical snippets. The format of this page currently remains under construction as the final organization of the material is still evolving.
