Bronze Star


Capt. Gary Farley
     U.S. Army Captain Gary Farley was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service while participating in numerous combat and humanitarian missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

     Captain Farley, company commander, deployed his unit from Mannheim, Germany to Iraq in April 2003. He was assigned additional forces and served as a task force commander for the one-year deployment.

     Farley’s next assignment is to the University of Kansas ROTC program where he will serve as an assistant professor of Military Science. His wife Mary, daughter Kristan and son Skyler have left for Kansas with Captain Farley. He is the son of Gary and Sandra Farley of Gowanda.
