Mentley/Press store - An ad in 1898 run by owners George J. Mentley and B.A. Press states they are "Dealers in groceries, provisions and crockery. Shippers of farm produce. Butter, eggs, berries, fruit, ect." Customers can also contact the store, located at 5 Main Street, by long distance and local phone. This photo, taken at holiday time, shows the inside of the establishment, including a fellow at the right talking into the mouthpiece of a telephone.
