The Boeckel Sanitarium - Undated print
The Boeckel Sanitarium - Advertised as "The best-equipped sanitarium of its kind in the country," the Boeckel Sanitarium, 70 Buffalo Street, Gowanda, treats selected nervous cases, alcoholism and drug addictions. It also features a complete bath department. Once the William Vosburg residence, Dr, Boeckel remodels the building and has a large addition constructed around 1905. The Munger scrapbook says Dr. Boeckel "has a large partonage from many nearby places." (Photo courtesy of Phil Palen.)
