Approach to Gowanda - The view coming down Sand Hill Road into Gowanda in the 1930s was much more than it is today. This scene shows the hills of Perrysburg on the horizon. Notice the white wooden fence and the treeless hill to the left, which is near the VFW driveway. The checkered sign in the center cautioned motorists of a stop ahead.
