W.P. Peck's Livery/L.C. Boller's Garage - Before the age of the automobile, livery stables are needed. Located on Jamestown Street, the stable advertises the following in a 1909 Carnival of Flowers souvenir booklet: "Phone 7, both phones, Baggage Transferred, 'Bus meets all trains, General livery business." Time passes and in 1916, the L.C. Boller Garage takes over the livery stable. concentrating on mechanical horsepower, Boller offers automobile repairs and sales. The establishment handles Hudson-Essex, Chrysler-Plymouth, Hupmobile and Stewart Trucks. In the 1920's, Boller adds sports articles, radios, and boats and motors. By 1930, the business is firmly entrenched in the sales of vehicles, sporting and athletic goods, hardware, bicycles and radios. One ad from the time reads "A safe place to buy a used car."
