State Hospital Bridge - Spanning the south branch of Clear Creek, this iron truss bridge was just north of the Gowanda State Hospital, hence its name. The road, Routes 39 and 62 today, is shown in this view looking northeast. The road running left to right is Main Street, goinq up the hill to the hamlet of Collins. In the broad field today is the former Ames Department Store.     (Photo courtesy of the Gowanda Area Historical Society.)
