   Starting with the issue of February 18, 2001, the Gowanda PennySaver News has been running a weekly series called "Reflections" compiled by Mark Pankow.

According to the announcement in that issue:
   "Each week, scenes from the past, and occasionally the present, will give readers the opportunity to learn more about the Village of Gowanda and the surrounding area.
   Knowing even even a little of the past helps plan for the future."
