Project progress - Assemblyman Daniel Burling, left, takes the opportunity last Wednesday while visiting with his friend, Charles "Doc" Deneen, to visit the Gowanda Electronics construction site on Townsend Avenue in Gowanda. Unable to attend the groundbreaking ceremony in June due to a special session being called in Albany, Burling recalls the Gowanda Electronics project as one of the first he was involved with after his election as representative of the 147th District. Noting the progress being made, he remarked, "It's great when community, business and government can come together. Gowanda Electronics commitment to stay in Gowanda benefits many. The people live here, work here, spend their money here in the community." When complete, the new facility will encompass 33,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. (Photo by Mark Pankow.)
