Mr. Emke was a production supervisor for Setter Stix in Cattaraugus and Republican Commissioner for 15 years.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Otto, Otto Volunteer Fire Department, Cattaraugus Volunteer Fireman’s Association and Southwestern Volunteer Fireman’s Association.
He was the son of the late Gust and Ella (Beckman) Emke; father of Cindy Goode of Springville, Terry (Janet) Emke of Randolph, Gary (Ellouise) Emke of Hudson, Fla. and the late Carol Williams; brother of the late Harry Emke, Helen Evans, Lillian Mercer, Donna Greenauer, Viola McLeod and Margaret Whitcomb; also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Otto Volunteer Fire Department.
