Mary G. (Griswold) Kapple, 92, of Cherry Creek, died Feb. 20, 2006 at Heritage Green Health Care Center.
     Mrs. Kapple was a graduate of Cassadaga High School and Fredonia Normal. She taught school in one-room school houses until her marriage, during which she tutored students at home. She returned to teaching at Pine Valley Elementary School until her retirement in 1987.
     She was a member of Pine Valley Retired Teachers Association and an avid bird watcher.
     She was the wife of the late Clyde W. Kapple; daughter of the late Myron and Eva (Ahrens) Griswold; mother of Douglas (Joanne) Kapple of Minneapolis, MN, David (Bernice) Kapple of Westfield, Sharon Kapple of Los Alamos, NM, Philip (Faye) Kapple of Spokane, WA, and the late Gregory Kapple; and sister of Ruth Griswold of Gerry, Margaret Green of Alleghany, Mildred Simpson of Westfield, and the late Flora Hotchkiss; also survived by five grandchildren.
