Henry L. Threlkeld, 82, of Silver Creek, died Feb. 15, 2006 at The Waters of Dunkirk.
Mr. Threlkeld served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class during World War II. He received the Asiatic-PacificArea Campaign Medal, American Area Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He had worked as a truck driver for the Red Wing Corporation of Fredonia for many years. He enjoyed camping and traveling, and was an avid baseball player in his younger years.
Mr. Threlkeld was a member of Samuel Cimino VFW Post, the Navy Club and the Teamsters Union.
He was the husband of the late Theresa (D'Angelo) Threlkeld; son of the late Benjamin and Emma (Dennis) Threlkeld; father of John Threlkeld of Brocton, Danny Threlkeld of Silver Creek, Henry Threlkeld Jr. of Irving and Judy Threlkeld; and brother of Agnes Raper and Jeannette Wolf, both of Covington, Roy Threlkeld of California, and the late John Threlkeld, Thelma Roberts and Nancy Threlkeld; also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek.
