Helen J. Rivera
January 30, 1940 - February 14, 2006

     Helen J. (Dloniak) Rivera, 66, of Silver Creek, died Feb. 14, 2006 in St. Vincent’s Health Care Center, Erie, PA, following an extended illness.
     Mrs. Rivera was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church and Holy Trinity R.C. Church. She volunteered with Helping Hands and enjoyed working bingo at Holy Trinity. Mrs. Rivera was a past legal aid board member and was interpreter for the Hispanic people in the area as she was fluent in the Spanish language.
     She was the wife of the late Victor Rivera-Colon; daughter of the late John (Jack) and Helen I. (Szymanski) Dloniak; mother of Victor Manuel (Jacqueline) Rivera Jr. of Silver Creek, Jane Solares of Silver Creek, Patricia Rivera of Westfield, Aloisia (Wally) Welka of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Maggie Garcia of Brocton, Hortensia Hunt of Dunkirk, and the late John Paul Rivera; and sister of Eugene (Bonita) Dloniak of Stockton, and the late John Dloniak, Aloysius Dloniak, Geraldine Abbey, Phyllis Karalus and Eleanor Sanchez; also survived by 23 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
     Arrangements were by the Gardinier-Colletti Memorial Home, Dunkirk.
