Earl F. Wise, 79, of Fredonia died Feb. 9, 2006 following a brief illness.
     Mr. Wise had worked for George Ray Tire and Sales for many years and Pomfret C&E Agway, from which he retired. He was a dedicated member of Laona United Methodist Church, where he had served on numerous committees including trustee and finance chairman for the church, parsonage and buildings. Mr. Wise enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.
     He was the husband of Mary Jane (Dragon) Wise, and the late Barbara (Steger) Wise; son of the late Fred and Elenore (Scheuneman) Wise; father of Robert E. Wise of Forestville and Kathleen Joy Wise of Loudonville; and brother of Richard (Barbara) Wise of South Dayton, Ralph Wise of Forestville and Dorothy (Vernon) Cooper of Fredonia; also survived by two grandsons, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
