Sherwood “Sam” Cooper, 72, of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, died Feb. 6, 2006.
     Mr. Cooper was a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo. He was also a Scout Master for Troop No. 52 and an umpire for Buffalo Muni Baseball. Mr. Cooper was an avid fisherman and auto racing fan.
     He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann (Twoguns) Cooper; father of Perry, Eugene (Cheryl), Timothy (Mona) Cooper and the late Peggy Jean Cooper; and brother of Rusty Cooper, Freddy Leschelles, Dwayne Sundown and the late Harriett Jimerson and Shirley “Boomer” Schindler; also survived by three grandchildren.
     Arrangements were by the Wentland Funeral Home, North Collins.
