Frances Pelletter
April 1, 1912 - February 1, 2006

     Frances Pelletter, 93, a resident of the Lake Shore Nursing Home in Irving, formerly of Silver Creek and St. Columban’s On-The-Lake, died Feb.1, 2006.
     Miss Pelletter was born in Bagheria, Sicily. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic School, Dunkirk Business School and the School of Cosmetology. She had worked in the family grocery store and owned and operated Curly Top Beauty Shop in Silver Creek for 30 years. Miss Pelletter was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where she attended Mass daily. She became a Eucharistic minister in 1976 and was a charter member of the parish Social Club and belonged to its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a charter member of the Silver Creek Senior Citizens and a member of the Hairdressers Association and a local sewing club. Miss Pelletter enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking. A world traveler in the prime of her life, she traveled to The Holy Land, Vietnam, Alaska, Italy, Spain, Mexico, France, Russia and many parts of the United States. At one time, she went on a cruise around the world.
     She was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Cardarella) Pelletter; and sister of Philip S. (late Louise) Pelletter of Fredonia, Mary Lou (Marion) Pagano of Silver Creek, and the late Geraldine Durante, Matthew, Ralph and Anthony Pelletter; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
     Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, St. Columban’s On-The-Lake or Hospice.
     Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek.
