Robert S. Glowniak Sr., 55, of Cassadaga, died unexpectedly Jan. 17, 2006 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
     Mr. Glowniak graduated from Alfred Technical School in 1971 with a degree in Building Trades, He was a past employee of Bush Industries in Jamestown and also operated the family business, Glowniak Farms, from 1976 to 1991. Mr. Glowniak was instrumental in the formation of Rich’s Polka Band, 1966-1976. He loved the family farm and his John Deere memorabilia.
     He was the husband of Candace (Carpenter) Glowniak of Cassadaga; son of the late Barney and Rose (Kuznaski) Glowniak; father of Robert S. Glowniak Jr. of Forestville and Kimberly Hallmark of Sunset Bay; brother of Richard “Rich” (Jean) Glowniak of Silver Creek and Anne (Gerald) Holchuck of Elmira; and son-in-law of David and June Carpenter of Cassadaga; also survived by three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
     Arrangements were by the Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., Dunkirk.
