James E. Bowen, 70, of Collins, died Jan. 23, 2006 at Hospice of Buffalo.
     Mr. Bowen worked for National Fuel in the Service Department, retiring in 1996 after more than 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Gowanda, the Slovenian Club, Gowanda Moose Lodge 1382, and a social member of the James Cruden VFW Post and the Gowanda American Legion Post 409.
     He was the husband of Doris I. (McHenry) Bowen; son of the late Franklin and Mary (Ballon) Bowen; father of Mark (Lynda) Bowen of Penfield, Michael (Marijane) Bowen of Rochester and Ann Bowen (K. Richard Appel) of St. Petersburg, FL; and brother of George Bowen of Orchard Park; also survived by three grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Association, Hospice of Buffalo or the Gowanda Ambulance.
