Gladys Victoria Wienk, 86, of Cattaraugus, died Jan. 22, 2006 at The Waters of Dunkirk Nursing Home.
     Mrs. Wienk graduated from Cattaraugus High School, Class of 1936. She was a cafeteria worker for Cattaraugus Schools, retiring after 20 years. Mrs. Wienk was a past member of the Cattaraugus Firemen’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was also an avid reader.
     She was the wife of the late Leslie Carl Wienk; daughter of the late Latham Blacker and Effie Theressa (Molyneaux) Heron; mother of Rev. Dennis L. (Marilyn) Wienk of Rochester, Roberta J. (Richard) Mancuso of Fredonia, Jerith L. “Jerry” (Bonnie) Wienk of Cattaraugus, and the late Thomas A. Wienk; and sister of Effie Carol Studley of Gerry, and the late Wesley M. Heron, Latham B. Heron and Audrey Jean Weber; also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Parish, Gowanda; or Benedict House, Buffalo.
