Charles F. Kingsley
April 9, 1929 - October 9, 2005

     Charles F. Kingsley, 76, of Forestville, died Oct. 9, 2005, following a short illness.
     Mr. Kingsley was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1946 and he worked as a therapy aide for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center in Helmuth for over 40 years. He was a past member and chief of Helmuth Fire Department, was a 55-year member, past president and chief of the Forestville Fire Department, where he was a captain of the Fire Police for 21 years. He was a charter member and past captain of the Forestville Emergency Squad, past president of the Chautauqua County Fire Police Association, director at large for the New York State Fire Police Association, a member of the Chautauqua County and New York State Fire Chief’s Association, a past member of Chautauqua Lodge IOOF #382 of Fredonia, and past member of the former IOOF Lodge #99 of Forestville.
     He was the husband of the late Helen (Wojciezyn) Kingsley; son of the late Arthur and Harriet (Congdon) Kingsley; father of Thomas (Cynthia) Kingsley of Forestville, Craig (Kim) VanVlack of Plymouth, IN, Richard (Linda) Kingsley of Silver Creek, and Paul (Michelle) Kingsley of Forestville; and brother of the late Dorothy Frost, Agnes Muck and George Kingsley; also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorials may be made either to the Forestville Fire Department Emergency and Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville, NY 14062 or to the American Cancer Society.
     Arrangements were by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
