Clarence G. Bolender
January 11, 1919 - September 23, 2005

     Clarence G. ‘Tony” Bolender, 86, of Gulfport, MS, formerly of Collins Center, died Sept. 23, 2005 in Biloxi, MS.
     Mr. Bolender served in the Army in the 3rd Armored Division during World War II. He retired from the Gulfport VA after being a nursing supervisor for over 25 years. Mr. Bolender was an aide at Gowanda Homeopathic Hospital before he became a nurse. He was a Ham Radio Operator and a Mason. Mr. Bolender was a member of Handsboro United Methodist Church.
     He was the husband of Lucille Edith Harvey “Lulu” Bolender; son of the late Carl N. Bolender and Lucy Patch; stepson of the late Robert E. Lyon; father of Carl and Shawn (Gill) Bolender of Navarre, FL, Nina Lynn Patrick of Montgomery, AL, and Mary (Fred) Beard of Gulfport, MI; and brother of the late Elizabeth Phinney Rugg; also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
