Belle R. (Levin) Wallace, 103, of Gowanda, died July 30, 2005 after a short illness.
     Mrs. Wallace was a lifetime Erie County resident. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1920 and moved to Gowanda six years later, where she spent the rest of her life.
     Mrs. Wallace worked for more than 70 years at the family business, Wallace’s Men’s Wear in Gowanda. She retired in 1995. She was involved in the Tri-County Hospital Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Gowanda Business and Professional Women.
     She was the wife of the late Charles Wallace; mother of Allan S. Wallace of Gowanda; and sister of Irving Levin of Williamsville.
     Arrangements were by the Mesnekoff Funeral Home, East Amherst.
