Richard C. Crowell, 70, of Collins, died July 25, 2005 at TLC Tri-County Memorial Campus in Gowanda.
     Mr. Crowell graduated from Pine Valley High School, Class of 1951. He served in the Army during peace time, having attained the rank of PFC(T). Mr. Crowell worked as a stationary assistant engineer for Lake View Corrections, where he retired after 10 years. He was a member of the Gowanda Moose Lodge.
     He was the husband of Shirley R. (Davis) Crowell of Collins; son of the late Astor A. and Olive “Liz” (Houben) Crowell; father of Lynn A. (Marlene) Crowell of Lawtons, Beth M. Harris of North Collins, and Andrew R. (Terina) Crowell of Gamiel, KY; and brother of Virginia Gilbert of Orrstown, PA, and the late Carol Peterson; also survived by two grandchildren.
     A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 31 at 4 p.m. at Hills Funeral Chapel, 255 Aldrich St., Gowanda.
     Memorials may be made to Collins Fire Department, 2365 Route 39, Collins, NY, or Gowanda Assembly of God, 78 Allen St., Gowanda.
