Brenda J. (Korbar) Edwards, 60, of Gowanda, died March 13, 2005 at the TLC Health Network Lake Shore campus after a courageous battle with cancer.
     Mrs. Edwards was a therapy aide for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center and the Buffalo Psychiatric Center with more than 25 years of state employment.
     She was the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Sweda) Korbar of Gowanda; companion of William Whalen; mother of Thomas M. Edwards (Brenda Fairbanks) of Dayton and Candi Ellis of Cattaraugus; and sister of Joseph Korbar (Bonnie Drozd) of Cattaraugus and Barbara Smith of Gowanda; also survived by three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of Buffalo. Arrangements were by the Schindler Funeral Home, Gowanda.
