Amos G. Stewart
May 14, 1919 - March 14, 2005

     Amos Gale Stewart, 85, of Albrightsville, PA, formerly of Gowanda, died March 14, 2005 at the Davis Manor in Mountaintop, PA.
     Mr. Stewart was a graduate of Emporium High School in Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in the China, Burma and India Theater where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross.
     He retired in 1985 as District Manager for Star Building Systems of Oklahoma City, OK.
     He was a member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert, PA, the RAJAH Temple in Reading, PA, Isaac Heister Free and Accepted Masons of Reading, PA, 32 Degree Consistory in Coudersport, PA, Hump Pilots Association, China, Burma & India Veterans Association, Bucktail Rod and Gun Club in Emporium, PA, and the Indian Mt. Rod and Gun in Kresgeville, PA.
     He was the husband of Audrey (Hilliker) Stewart; son of the late James E. and Daisy (Rees) Stewart; father of Melissa Stewart of Blakeslee, PA; and brother of Norma Gore and Glenis Stewart, both of Emporium PA, and Wilma Prime of Hillsboro, OR; also survived by six nephews and three nieces.
     Memorials may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
     Arrangements were by the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Inc., Gilbert, PA.
