Agnes (Filakofsky) McGilvray, 96, formerly of Machias, Brocton and Great Valley, died March 14, 2005 at The Pines in Machias.
     Mrs. McGilvray was a senior citizen companion at J.N. Adam for 12 years. She was a past Matron of the Eastern Stars, Guiding Star Chapter, a past member of the Rebeccas, and a member of the Cattaraugus United Methodist Church.
     She was the wife of the late Daniel J. McGilvray; daughter of the late Anton and Marie (Strompl) Filakofsky; mother of Richard McGilvray of New Berlin, WI, Mary Privateer of Dunkirk, and the late Daniel J. McGilvray Jr.; and sister of Betty Balbieur of Cleveland, and the late Anna Gedon and Anton Filakofsky; also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
