William E. Ford
January 7, 1921 - February 21, 2005

     William E. Ford, 84, of Little Valley, died Feb. 21, 2005.
     Mr. Ford was a graduate of Cattaraugus High School and has lived in Little Valley all of his life. Mr. Ford was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Atlantic and the Pacific Theatres. He was a former mayor of Little Valley and was on the Little Valley Planning Board. He was employed at Borden’s in Randolph for many years, retiring in 1979.
     Mr. Ford was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Little Valley, where he served as a Deacon and many years as chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was a 49-year member of the Oddfellows #671, where he served as Past Noble Grand Master and Past District Deputy Grand Master. Mr. Ford was also a member of the Greenleaf Rebekah Lodge #353, Little Valley VFW Post #8734 and the Little Valley Senior Citizens.
     He was the husband of Rhea (Senear) Ford; son of the late Elon and Anna (Byer) Ford; father of Susan (Patrick)Darcy of Canon City, CO; and brother of the late Edna Jackson, Neva Ford, Alice Hawkins, Clarence, Raymond and Charles Ford; also survived by four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
     A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m. from the 1st Congregational Church in Little Valley with Rev. Rick Danielson officiating.
     Memorials may be made to the 1st Congregational Church, Homecare and Hospice or Little Valley Memorial Library Building Fund.
     Arrangements were by the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., Little Valley.
