Iva Elizabeth "Betty" (Parker) Mattoon, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, TN, formerly of Forestville, died Jan. 5, 2005 in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Mattoon attended the Country School in Arkwright, and together with her husband, operated a dairy farm in Forestville for many years. She was a member of the Bible Christian Fellowship Church in Fredonia, belonged to the Arkwright Ladies Home Bureau and wrote the "Parker Heritage Cook Book."
A homemaker, she was also an avid reader and loved gardening and knitting.
She was the wife of David W. Mattoon; daughter of the late William S. and Lorraine M. Parker; mother of John Mattoon of Mt. Pleasant, Charles Mattoon of Fredonia, Patricia Robinson of Forestville, Mary Meissner of Phoenix, AZ, and Judy Collander of Sinclairville; and sister of Marjorie Pierce of Portland, Linda Webber and Ruth Sobczak, both of Apopka, FL, Joyce Rizzo of Pleasant Grove, AL, Celestine Barrus of Fredonia, George Parker of Delevan, and the late Wilma Bull, Royal, Donald and Earl Parker; also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were by the Lind Funeral Home,Jamestown.
