Allan R. Thrush
March 2, 1915 - January 15, 2005

     Allan R. Thrush, 89, of North Collins, died Jan. 15, 2005.
     Mr. Thrush was a graduate of Tidioute High School in Pennsylvania and lived in North Collins for 48 years. He worked construction and was a brick layer. He was also a steelworker for 20 years at Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna, retiring in 1978. Mr. Thrush served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having attained the rank of Sergeant. He served in the South Pacific, Guadalcanal and Solomon Islands.
     He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Lavelle) Thrush; son of the late Arthur R. and Martha C. (Crate) Thrush; father of Catherine M. (Lee) Bradley of Tempe, AZ, Michelle M. Thrush of Ashburn, VA, Tina T. (Gene) Barbic of Ramona, CA, Carol A. Thrush of North Collins, Wendell A. (Janet) Thrush of Perrysburg and James W. Thrush of Phoenix, AZ; and brother of the late Wilda Zeliff, Mildred Gregory, Mabel Sorrel, Virginia Griffith, Wayne, Wirt, Lawton and Bruce Thrush; also survived by seven grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to Home Care Hospice, 1225 W. State St., Olean, NY 14760.
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral chapel, Gowanda.
