Olive K. (Paille) Kumpf, 96, of Gowanda, died Nov. 3, 2004 at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
     Mrs. Kumpf worked for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center from 1948 to 1970. She was an occupational therapist with the Recreation Department. A member of St. Joseph’s Church in Gowanda and the parish’s Altar & Rosary Society, she also belonged to the Slovenian Club and the Women of the Moose along with the Gowanda BPW and the Helmuth Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary.
     She was the wife of the late Harold L. Kumpf; daughter of the late Henry J. and Elizabeth M. (Lillian) Paille; mother of Harold Kumpf of Dallas, TX, Gerald Kumpf of Long Beach, NY, Suzanne Korbar of Beaver Falls, PA, Olive Anticola of Hamburg, Jacqueline Schindler of Gowanda, Marilyn Salzman of Eden and Diane Layhew of Monroe, MI; and sister of the late Arlette Allein, James and Harold Frick; also survived by 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s R.C. Church or St. Joseph School.
     Arrangements were by the Schindler Funeral Home, Gowanda.
