Leota M. Ratzel
August 27, 1918 - November 7, 2004

     Leota M. (Lacey) Ratzel, 86, of Perrysburg, died Nov. 7, 2004 at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
     Mrs. Ratzel worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years, ending her service as postmaster in Perrysburg. She devoted countless hours to community service as a Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Ratzel was a member of the Perrysburg United Methodist Church and was active in the Snub Club, a group that worked together to make arts and crafts to donate to many church events and bazaars.
     She enjoyed knitting, needlework, bead art and ceramics.
     She was the wife of the late Robert Ratzel; daughter of the late Stanley and Esther Lacey; mother of Janis Griewisch of Silver Creek and the late Sandra Robertson; and sister of William Lacey of Binghamton and the late Doris Orcutt; also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
