Frieda S. (Schwartz) Bolling, 84, of Hamburg, formerly of Silver Creek, died Nov. 8, 2004 at Elderwood at Lakewood Health Care Center in Hamburg.
Mrs. Bolling immigrated to the United States with her family in 1923. She graduated from Silver Creek Central School. She was an office worker at the former Alco plant in Dunkirk for several years and also worked as a toll collector for the New York State Thruway, from which she
retired. For many years, she and her husband operated Bolling’s Fruit Farm and later they operated a cattle and grape farm.
Mrs. Boiling was a former member of the Spotted Vagabonds camping club and the Sheridan Grange. She enjoyed bowling, reading, needlework, camping and birdwatching.
She was the wife of the late William A. Bolling; daughter of the late Otto and Minnie (Lublow) Schwartz; and mother of Donald A. Bolling of Georgia, Robert L. (Ruth) Bolling of Bath, William D. (Kathy) Bolling of Comer, GA, Carol L. Purvis of Niskayuna, Kathleen (Ronald) Metzger of Eden and Karen (Paul) Kiel of Hamburg; also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek.
