Harold J. Reed, 83, of Belchertown, MA, formerly of Cattaraugus, died Oct. 26, 2004.
     Mr. Reed served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired construction worker for J.D. Northrup Construction in Ellicottville and co-owned Reed and Tegler in Otto for five years. Mr. Reed was a member of the American Legion Post No. 531 in Little Valley.
     He was the husband of Arvilla J. (Sinn) Reed; son of the late Louie and Katherine (Gross) Reed; father of Lisa L. Reed of Fredericksburg, VA, and Catherine A. Reed of Belchertown, MA; and brother of Elsie Wehling of Arkport, Mary Neal of Lake Wales, FL, Frieda Fitzpatrick of Houston, TX, and the late Edward, Frederick, Dora and Edna Reed; also survived by three granddaughters.
     Memorials may be made to the Cattaraugus Ambulance Fund, Cattaraugus, NY 14719.
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, Cattaraugus.
