Helen S. (Sheldon) Morris, 83, formerly of Gowanda, died Oct. 22, 2004 at Waters of Eden in Eden.
     Mrs. Morris was a registered nurse for Gowanda Psychiatric Center, where she retired after 35 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 409 and was also an avid reader and enjoyed a good puzzle.
     She was the wife of Charles Morris; daughter of the late Gleason and Mabel (Hilliman) Sheldon; mother of Dorothy Hager of Gowanda and H. Jean Hager of Gowanda; and sister of Vincent Sheldon of Frewsburg, Barbara Caswell of Erie, and the late Hazel Opferbeck, Bessie Kane, Shirley Snyder, Lester Sheldon and Gleason Sheldon; also survived by seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to the American Heart Foundation.
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel, Gowanda.
