Helen K. Krestic, 93, of Silver Creek, died Oct. 23, 2004 at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
     Mrs. Krestic attended Buffalo State University College (Normal School), where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She retired in 1970 from the Cheektowaga Central School District, where she taught in the Pine Hill, Alexander and Union East elementary schools.
     She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 288 of Silver Creek and a former member of the Shakespeare Club of Silver Creek. Mrs. Krestic was an inveterate bridge player.
     She was the wife of John Krestic; daughter of the late C. Merritt and Blanche E. (Kihm) Kelsey; mother of Karen Ackerman of Berkeley, CA, and John Krestic of Silver Creek; and sister of George Maw of Arcade and the late Doris Kelsey, Alma Nyhart and Donald Maw; also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
     Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel Inc., Silver Creek.
