David H. Charles, 100, of Leon, died Oct. 24, 2004 at the Greene’s home on Main Street, Collins.
     A self-employed dairy and poultry farmer, Mr. Charles also did carpentry work all around the area. He was active in the Republican Party and the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a civilian activist.
     He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (May) Charles; son of the late Frank and Lillian Charles; brother of the late Helen Merow; and cousin of Jean Brown of Brownstone, MI, whom he and his wife raised, and the late Ruth Palermo and Robert Wendell, whom they also raised.
     Memorials may be made to the Leon Fire Department or the Conewango Valley United Methodist Church.
     Arrangements were by the Hills Funeral Chapel South Dayton.
