Albert E. Simmons
March 16, 1937 - October 18, 2004

     Albert E. Simmons, 67, of Randolph, died Oct. 18, 2004.
     Mr. Simmons retired in 1999 from Randolph Central School, where he had been employed as a bus driver. He had previously been a truck driver for various companies including the Village of East Randolph, Ellington Hardwood, Jones Motors, Peterson Trucking, National Freightway and Pro Oil Company. He was a member of Randolph American Legion Post 181, East Randolph Volunteer Fire Company, Randolph Moose Lodge 2273, a social member and former manager/bartender of Randolph VFW 6533, and former member of Coldspring Volunteer Fire Company.
     He was the husband of Gloria J. (Miller) Simmons; son of the late Floyd E. and Florilla J. (Bogardus) Simmons; father of Richard E. Simmons and James A. (Anna) Simmons, both of South Dayton, Paul E. (Valerie) Simmons of Silver Creek, Mark A. Simmons of Randolph, Shelly A. (James) Simmons of South Dayton and Autumn M. Simmons of Randolph; stepfather of Tracey A. Young, Rhonda L. Conklin, Patricia J. Halstead, Shelly A. Inda and Robert J. Barber; and brother of Edward A. (Clair) Simmons of Randolph, Noyes C. (Julie) Simmons of Ellington, Ernest E. (Bertha) Simmons of Falconer, Alvin L. (Barbara) Simmons of Falconer, Robert L. (Dusty) Simmons of Knox, PA, Audrey (Butch) Wynn of Massachusetts and Shirley Hitchcock of Jamestown; also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to Home Health Care & Hospice, 1225 W. State St., Olean, NY 14760 or to a charity of choice.
     Arrangements were by the Van Renssalaer and Son Funeral Home, Randolph.
