Morris L. “Colonel Roy Abbey” Abbey, 76, of Silver Creek, died Oct. 11. 2004 at Buffalo General HospitaL.
     Mr. Abbey was retired from Mayflower, Inc., having worked as a truck driver involved in corporate transportation. He had also been a professional auctioneer with Southwestern Sales from 1965 to 1975; and had served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946.
     He was a member of the VFW in Silver Creek and Angola, and a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. His hobbies included boating, fishing, camping, traveling and country western music.
     He was the husband of the late Virginia (Houle) Abbey; son of the late Duane and Jeanette (Vansplunder) Abbey; father of Diane Baker of Silver Creek; and companion of Joan Azeez; also survived by one brother, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
     Arrangements were by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek.
