Ralph F. Johnson, 77, of Collins, died Aug. 11, 2004 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Mr. Johnson served in the United States Army during World War II and later worked for 37 years for the National Fuel Company as a gas dispatcher before his retirement. He was a member of the Collins Center Fire Company for 47 years, American Legion Post 409 of Gowanda, the N.Y.S. Fiddlers’ Association and the Erie County Volunteer Fire Police Association. He was the husband of Ruth M. (Timmel) Johnson; son of the late Frank H. and Ruth (Potter) Johnson; father of Donald Johnson and Daniel (Cindy) Johnson, both of Collins; and brother of Carl (Marsha) Johnson of Leroy, Elinor (Ken) Luther of Collins, and the late Roy Johnson and Walter Johnson; also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Collins Center Fire Company or the Gowanda Ambulance. Arrangements were by the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., Gowanda. |
