Mrs. Quackenbush was born in Hanover. In later years, she and her husband spent their time rehabilitating older homes and also built new ones for sale. Her hobbies included gardening and genealogy.
She was the wife of Harlen Quackenbush; daughter of the late Edward and Carrie (Hilliker) Gould; mother of Stephen Swanson of Forestville, Burl Swanson of Dewittville and Edward Swanson of Lafayette, TN; stepmother of Glen Quackenbush of Boise, ID, Dean Quackenbush of Phoenix, AZ, Roxanne Fisk of Fredonia, Brenda Hannold of Portland, and the late Debbie Hazelton andBecky Kent; and sister of the late Edna Ward and Wallace Gould; also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Memorials maybe made to Hospice of Chautauqua County.
