Mr. Stanton was a self-employed grape farmer who worked on the family farm for many years. He also worked as a prison guard and for Star Wine and Supreme Bakery.
He was the husband of Shirley (Noyes) Stanton; son of the late Leon L. Stanton Sr. and Ethel (Wachob) Wheeler; father of 16 daughters; and brother of Robert T. Stanton of Alabama and Betty Huffstutler of Fredonia; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the family.
