Mrs. Stanton assisted her mother for several years with the delivery of the Evening Observer on rural routes. She was a lifetime member of the Easy Riders Motorcycle Club.
She was the wife of Robert Thomas “Gramps” Stanton; daughter of the late Louis and Marion Wilmarth; granddaughter of the late Lillie Cable, who raised her; mother of Michael Stanton, Robert Stanton, Sean Stanton, Elizabeth Burdette, Cynthia Stanton, Jeannette Pickette, Lori Bradley. Shannon Stanton and Nicole Ivey; stepsister of Phyllis and Jerry; and sister-in-law of Betty Huffstutler of Fredonia and Lee Stanton of Perrysburg; also survived by two adopted daughters - Sylvia Stanton and Deborah Horton, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
