Mr. Blakely was a graduate of Forestville schools and worked at the Chevrolet Delavan plant in the tool crib department until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of the Clarence United Methodist Church, active in the Clarence Grange and F&AM Masonic Lodge of Williamsville, and member of Odd Fellows Chapter 715 of Akron/Clarence.
He was the husband of the late Evelyn Blakely; son of the late Duane and Martha (Hunter) Blakely; fatherofWentworth Blakely of Clarence, Arnold and Dale Blakely, both of Forestville, and Jean Rugg of Clarence; brother of the late Vernon, Harry, Earl and Robert Blakely, and Nirl Congdon; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
