Mrs. Matteson Lawson co-owned and operated the State Park Restaurant in Brocton from 1960 to 1978 with her late husband James. She also worked at the Gowanda State Hospital of Gowanda and S.S. Kresge of Dunkirk.
She was a member of Dunkirk Moose Club #89.
She was the wife of the late James A. Matteson and the late Larry Lawson; daughter of the late Bert G. and Irma (Morgan) Hitchcock; mother of James Matteson of Cleveland, OH, Luke Matteson of Dunkirk, Dana Matteson of Queens, Viola Robertson of Dayton, OH, DeLores Herrington of Collins, Irma Murray of Angola, Linda Malt of Brockport, and the late Bonnie Matteson and Lloyd Matteson; also survived by 27 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
