Mr. Winter was a member of the Langford-New Oregon Volunteer Fire Department, the Safari Club and several farm organizations.
He was the husband of Irma L. (Meyer) Winter; father of Nelson (Marilyn Noah) Winter, Carolyn (Edward) Sheehy, Marvin (Maryellen) Winter, Joyce Winter (Steve Lloyd) and Jean (Robert) Robbins and the late Philip Winter; father-in-law of Donna Winter Kohn; and brother of Edwin Winter, and the late Florence Gentner, Mary Dole, Martha Losey, Arthur Winter, Wilma Kolz, Elmer, Leo J., Jeanette Winter and Barbara Lovett Buseck; also survived by 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
